Ian Callum's favourite colour on the XE is...

Bluefire

“For me, there’s only one colour to go for – Bluefire (a £620 option). I think it looks best in that colour – but then, blue is my favourite colour!”
(Legend has it, this is why the design team for the Frankfurt Motor Show 2013 star concept Jaguar C-X17 chose to paint the concept in blue – “they knew I’d like it”, said Callum.
As for wheels, Callum says the two-tone rims worn by the motor show car are, for him, a must-have. “They come in 19-inch and 20-inch design, so you can stick to the 19″s if you prefer.” Callum, of course, would have the £800 20″s.
Callum’s ideal XE: a Paris Motor Show star

Callum’s ideal spec of XE was actually on Jaguar’s Paris Motor Show stand for opening press day, where it drew an enthusiastic response. Sadly, it had gone by day two: it’s needed for an event in London, said Callum, and Jaguar literally hasn’t yet built enough XE to go round. “The demand for them is extraordinary” he said.

I have to agree with this one.
Bluefire looks awesome and it's nothing like the colors I have seen from German car makers, this is uniquely Jaguar.

It's a great blue color. I think that it looks very luxurious. Similar to a BMW blue in my opinion. Looks like Estoril blue to me.

Maybe these photo's are the greatest to compare the two but I think the two blues look different enough. The BLue on the jag looks more metallic and just has more going on with it than just being a blue, the BMW paint is more of a true blue...not much else to it.

I will agree that there is a bit more of a metallic gloss to the Jaguar XE's blue. I don't think they are that different though. Need to see them in person to really get an idea of what the color truly is.

yeah seeing them in person is the best way to judge them, but these pictures do seem to provide something good to go off of for now.

If it really matters to you, you'll want to see it out in the sun, under the well lit dealer show room area and even at autoshows which some setups do a great job of showing off the paint.

I'm personally in love with Volvo's "Rebel Blue."

That is indeed a nice blue, a blue that reminds me of BMW's Laguna Seca Blue. But not blues i'd want to see on an XE.
