Value of a Hegner scroll saw.

My father bought a Hegner Multimax 18 variable speed scroll saw about 2001 and shortly after that had a massive stroke. He has since died and I now have the saw. The only problem I have is that I don't do woodworking and I have decided to part with it because I need the space for a new compressor. These currently sell for $1500 US with the stand and foot pedal which this one has, expensive but are considered the best scroll saw made. It was originally bought for about $1300 CAN. It is virtually unused.

Feel sorry for your loss. Do you think that the saw caused it?

Why do you sell the saw for a higher price then? Besides, can you post some pictures? I'm looking for a saw, but I want a brand new one.

Please accept my condolences regarding your fatherís death. Regarding the price, I think that it is okay. Especially taking into account everything became so expensive right now. Professional tools have higher quality, but the price is corresponding. Iím looking for a new professional scroll saw right now. I found this site with different reviews and approximate prices. If you are interested in the price for your saw, you may check it too. I do woodworking and sell my stuff online or take orders from my friends and friends of friends. It doesnít really replace my fool-time job, but itís nice to have some extra cash in a pocket.

I still don't get what's the point of increasing the price?
