|Maximillian||This project is looking incredible and it's not surprising that they've already been confirmed to start work on an even more powerful Project 9. Looks like its going to be worth every penny, with how much engineering they have put into it. Definitely one of the most finely tuned road legal track cars that's ever been produced.|

The Jaguar Project 8 sounds like a beast on track! You can hear the startup exhaust note in the video below and I'm envious of anyone who owns one when they finally go on sale.

Everyone was so amazed when the Italian sedan set that new record and now Jaguar has beaten it by a large margin. Once it's available to the public, you can bet we'll be seeing comparison tests between the two models.|

Jaguar XE SV Project 8 Getting Final Adjustments Ahead Of Production
Jaguar’s “most powerful, agile and extreme road car” will go into production this June but before then, Jaguar Land Rover's Special Vehicle Operations division will continue to fine tune the XE SV Project 8 and push boundaries.
Appearing for the first time last year at the Goodwood Festival of Speed, Jaguar’s XE SV Project has undergone many revisions as detailed in the video below. All in an effort to give us a Nurburgring record setting sedan, a title that was previously held by the Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio at 7:32. Last November, the XE SV Project 8 managed to take the crown with a lap time of 7:21.23.
A feat that was made possible by a supercharged 5.0-liter V8 engine delivering 592 horsepower to all four wheels. That achievement wasn’t enough for Jagauar’s special vehicle operations director Mark Stanton.
“With Project 8 we set out to deliver a fast, fun and engaging car that encourages you to explore its performance. Our lap record at the Nurburgring proves we have achieved that, but now we believe we can go faster,” he said
To this end they’ve upgraded the XE SV Project 8’s suspension arm bushes, added stiffer springs and fitted the vehicle with more rigid engine mounts. They’ve even updated the vehicle’s software in an effort to “improve performance, feel, responsiveness, refinement,” said Vehicle Dynamics Manager David Pook.
Only 300 units will be made and pricing starts at £149,995 each, so you better put in a deposit with your local dealership soon.
