That is true, they don't want to water the brand down but instead offer a product that still lives up to what the brand is about but still something more attainable than what they currently offer.There's no shot the US is going to see the XE start below $30K. Its a thresh hold, once you go below it has a certain damage on the prestige of the brand, I don't think Jag is going for that...
I believe its mainly been production constraints. They just cannot physcally produce the same volume as BMW, which would then feed back into the higher price.Can the same comparison be made between the XF and the 5 series? What has stopped Jaguar's XF from selling numbers closer to that of the 5 series? Genuinely asking as I am not familiar with Jaguar's history in this segment.
