That is true, they don't want to water the brand down but instead offer a product that still lives up to what the brand is about but still something more attainable than what they currently offer.There's no shot the US is going to see the XE start below $30K. Its a thresh hold, once you go below it has a certain damage on the prestige of the brand, I don't think Jag is going for that...

The one downside to it, which doesn't affect the C-Class is that it looks like a mini s-class. I was hoping the design on the s-class would for the most part remain exclusive to it. I think MB could have done a better job at making design from model to model have many more differences.Design on the new C-Class is going to make it hard to pass up on.
