Just like the rest of the sedans that Jaguar sells, the XE will very likely come with the Instinctive All-Wheel-Drive system. Will you be ordering your Jaguar XE with AWD? State why or why not.

I am going to guess that this Instinctive AWD (IAWD?) is like automatic AWD. It just senses when it thinks you need it and turns it on. Am I correct in this assumption?

If that is what it is, I would have to give it some serious thought. It may be good for the winter, but I don't plan on needing to use it outside of that.

Im not entirely sure but will look into it, however I believe the system functions like that. It is ideal and hope it has that.

Does the Jag AWD system have vectoring capabilities? I believe the Land Rover system does...

If you don't order the instinctive AWD then do you have the ability to turn on or off the AWD yourself? If that's the case then I would rather just do it myself and save some money.

I cant see the point, well, not here in the UK, 4x4 cars have never been that popular, some offer it, most dont, why any one in the would have the extra weight attributed to the 4x4 sytem and the reduction in power, fuel and rise in co2, for a UK car is beyond me, it is not needed here.

some people justify it solely for the reason that it makes driving more fun, mainly for performance

Its going to be a must for Canadians, North Eastern US, Scandinavians, mountain people, Russians and the aussies will demand it for offroad outback excursions naturally...

i don't know about going off road with these, maybe on very mild terrain, but i would keep it mainly on flat roads for performance

nah, its not what Jaguar are all about, they need to have an IP differentiating themselves from the other mainstream mid sized euro boxes, by just copying them wont give them an edge, the UK and 4x4 cars are something thats never been a high priority, AUDI have managed to carve themselves a niche, but the majority of other brands have dumped 4x4 on their cars.
