Cam Belt/Timing Belt

Hi All, not entirely sure which it is but I'm led to believe if one of these go its mega expensive due to damage caused. So how often should it be changed and what's the likely cost? My car has done 42500 miles on a 2015. Not hammered and up to date service wise. (Mainly motorway miles)
