Hi,

I've just joined the forum after collecting my new XE this week, I have the Halogen headlights and can get hold of the LED headlight units does anyone know if it is a straight swap over of the units?

Congrats on getting your XE!

As far as I know it should be a straight plug and play but it might be worth looking into what other things might be needed. Guys on The Retrofit Source might have some insight on this.

You can probably bring it to your go to garage and see if they can help you change out the headlights.
If the LED headlights were designed for the same model then it should be a simple switch.

Can't give you much info on this, but I would be very interested to see the mod on your XE if you get it done. It would be nice to see some pictures to see the transformation.

I wouldn't recommend LEDs...been there, done that, with very average results. Went for HIDs instead, from these guys, and haven't looked back. Much brighter, better quality of light etc. vs LEDs which were weak...might have just been the kits I went for, but I'd play it safe and go for HIDs.

I Would also be interested to see how this would work. Just got my wife a new XE with halogens yesterday, wonder how feasible this would be. keep us posted thanks
