So here are a whole bunch of pictures of what the interior of the Jaguar XE will look like. The centre console area looks very streamlined. There is a control knob where you might expect to find a emergency brake on many vehicles. The combo of red leather and grey suede is a very luxe material choice. It doesn't look like there are a ton of bells and whistles in the interior, but it does seem like they kept the quality up while making sure things remain affordable.

What do you see in the Jaguar XE interior, and is there anything that you wish was included that was passed on?

i paid a deposit for a new xe prior to the launch of the xe ,i am now on my third xf ,presently a 3.0d portfolio.i cant find a better car at present , in this price range and have been happy with all my 3 xf's ,never had any problems with any thing. but would like a smaller more economical car, due to change in march next year, will probably go along with the xe ,obviuosly haven't seen one or drove one yet,but i am dissapointed in the level of the trim ,i would have thought they would have had an updated interior (maybe digital ) i have test drove 3 series and dont think they look or drive anywere near as good than the xf,but from what i have seen of the xe till now it seems to look a lot like the 3 seriies, the inside looks bare ,will have to wait and see it in the flesh, if the xe is too much of a drop down from the xf in the way of comfort / drive and looks i may get a new xf .

Did they put you on some offficial list or a list of their own? Didn't think that an official list would be ready that soon.

i called into my dealer and asked what the procedure was ,they told me if i waited a week there maybe ten people on the list (obviously they dont know the numbers ) so if i paid my deposit then i would be number 11. so i paid my deposit which made me number one on the list ,my deposit would be refunded if i did not go ahead with the purchase.but if i specced my car then cancelled i would probably loose my deposit, cant wait to see it in the flesh but looking at the interior pictures it looks no were near as nice as my portfolio. will have to wait and see i will keep in touch,

welcome up!

I'm reserving judgement on the interior as of yet. They only showed us the sporty model so I'm counting on something more sumptuous hiding behind the curtain!

Hopefully they don't take your deposit, which makes me wonder if all dealers are doing this or if it varies from dealer to dealer.

Ok question time. What makes an interior basic, what is your ideal opposite of a basic interior, complex?

If its complex is that not a new detractor? "this interior is too cluttered, convoluted and complex"

I'm just confused as to what it is people actually want...

Seriously, what does a non basic interior look like???????????????

I think that the Lincoln MKZ has a really nice interior. It is simple, but still not boring. There is a bit more design in the center stack that catches your eye and sets it apart from other interiors.
