Jaguar’s 2017 Product Plans

It’s a new year and Jaguar is in the midst of their aggressive expansion in the North American market with two new models, the 2017 Jaguar XE and F-Pace, and a performance F-Type.

Appearing on showroom floors this year is of course the new 2017 Jaguar XE with a design that could be perfect for luxury vehicle market.

The sedan benefits from a lightweight body with a mostly aluminum construction. That’s less weight for the three available engines to get up and go. Customers can choose from two gasoline engines, a turbocharged inline-4 and supercharged V-6 or maybe a turbocharged inline-4 diesel is preferable. All of them will be paired with a standard 8-speed automatic transmission.

There’s plenty of standard features in the base model including an 8-inch touchscreen, Bluetooth with audio streaming, and USB connectivity.

An optional InControl Pro package will increase that screen size to 10.2 inches and adds SD card navigation, mobile hotspot capability, and access via to your vehicle via a remote app to control functions like remote start and locking/unlocking. Or maybe the list of available electronic driving aids are more to your liking with adaptive cruise control, collision warning, blind spot and cross traffic alert, and park assist.

The 2017 Jaguar F-Pace is similarly equipped but it’s in all-wheel drive and there are model specific options including a waterproof and wearable Activity Key.

As for the F-Type in 2017, the performance orientated SVR will be powered by a supercharged 5.0-liter V-8 and there’s going to be a manual transmission option. There’s also going to be more standard features like six-way adjustable seats, valet mode, Meridian surround sound system, satellite navigation, sports seats, and leather and suede-cloth trim. That’s it for 2017, but an updated F-Type will be introduced for the 21018 model year.

Other than the three listed, Motor Authority didn’t mention any changes for the XJ and XF this year.
