Even though Jaguar has seen much success with its newest vehicles the XF, XE and F-Type, the brand is getting ready to adopt a brand new design language.

Edmunds reports that the new design philosophy will see big changes to Jaguar styling with only the rectangular grille being kept. This new design language is set to debut in 2017 on the XJ.

I wonder what direction Jaguar is going to go with this new design language. Any ideas?

It's tough to say what direction they're planning to go with this new design language, we might just have to wait on some solid content coming from them on what this is going to be like.

Looking at past concepts might help to some extent.

thats not significntly different than what they have now. In fact that image simply looks like someone squished the XE's headlights and stretched the grill...

It's not the greatest example, still something for now, maybe those headlights will make it or not along with the grille... there are things i'd like to see. Maybe it's time to start talking about what we want to see.
