The rise in sales for Land Rover from 2009 to 2010 is crazy. Is that when the Evoque came out or something? It's a very interesting chart. I think it speaks to the need for a diverse portfolio of vehicles. Since these brands are owned by the same company, does it really matter that one is doing well while the other suffers? It's kinda like The company does have sedans and SUVs, they just have them under different brand names. money all ends up at the same place in the end.

So I looked it up. It came out in 2011, which is actually a bit perplexing since the sales spike comes in 2010. Must have been caused by something else.

Given the current state of the market, why do you think Jaguar has been so slow to bring an SUV to market? Sedans are great, but when you look at the numbers it is clear that a SUV/CUV should be the priority.

performance is it, it would be wrong of them to just make another utilitarian vehicle being part of a brand that already fills that demand.

Jaguar making an SUV that's performance focused and geared towards being a Cayenne rival is the way to go .

yea you are right about that. Its a pretty competitive segment so they would have to be at their best though.
