Cool. I like seeing when brands play off of each other's advertisements. It makes the brands seem more like they are living, and its all in good fun usually. Both commercials are good, but you definitely are more convinced by the Jaguar when when you watch them one after the other.

The villain stuff was okay but I agree that its time has passed. It was a fun idea though.

It will be interesting to see what Jaguar does with its next set of ads, which will likely be for the F-Pace CUV. I hope its something memorable and not too generic.

I think the concept of targeting other brands is all about viewing advertising from a fun or humourous perspective. It definitely grabs the attention of viewers so as to leave a more lasting impression that gets etched in their minds longer.
It is, a fun battle and the great thing is it starts to get consumers to think and I bet a lot of people don't think or don't have enough going on to spark their curiosity.

They probably also figured that people are getting bored with the usual advertising and have to restore to new creative ways that really captures an audience and this method seems to be what is working. I'm sure we'll see more brands applying the same thing and trying to get out of it was previous brands have.
