Thought that I would post up this article that says a bit more about what's going on with the XE-R.

The Jaguar XE-R will likely use the F-Type roadster's V8 which has around 488 hp. The XE-R whould also get a retuned suspension and an eight-speed transmission that will allow for more aggressive shifts in manual mode.

The widening they do will more than likely be along the lines of what we see from BMW.

Wider body would be very nice. Spoiler is also a nice addition.

What exactly does BMW do?

As far as the exterior goes, more aggressive aero bits that are in line with the technical and visual changes they do, look at BMW's website for specifics.

Visually its bodywork and ride height but the front and rear track are both wider as well...
