Love the front and the interior but the taillights needed to be a bit more refined. Of course this is just what I can observe through a few pictures. I hope and anticipate this Jag will be stunning in person

By refined, what exactly do you mean? Make them more sleek looking? If so, that's something i'd like to see them do. Still, it's a nice change from what else is being sold in the same segment.
Yeah a bit more sleek or something similar as the coupe would have been great
Mostly looks great. Of all things, I am a little turned off by the center console HVAC button cluster. Mostly because I like to use pictures of those as a hint to see if the car is going to have cooled seats or not, and in this case I can't tell based on them just having the singular seat icon/button.

Really? I like the centre stack quite alot!

The assumption I'm making based on the buttons, is that you have to push a button to toggle between adjusting the air temp or seat temp, and then push the actual adjustment buttons to change those things. Just seems like more trouble than should be necessary. Also having "A/C" and "Max A/C" seems like an antiquated redundancy as well, considering you have the buttons for adjusting temperature. On a similar note, I wonder why there is a defrost button and a "MAX" defrost button.

That said, these are not big gripes, just nitpicking. It's something I think could have been done better.
My only beef with the center is that it's not as clean as an RR but still looks great, good enough for it's segment. maybe i'm asking for too much.
Looks a little plain.

The car Looks good but theres just no WOW factor or focal point!
The problem with it is there is nothing which distictly makes it a jaguar for instance, on a Mercedes or BMW you can tell by thier grill which brand they are but with the Jaguar XE, it could just be a vauxhall... untill you see the Jag logo at the rear.

Don't get me wrong it's a nice looking car but theres no WOW factor or identity which you would expect from a car this price!

It wow'ed me enough but i can see the need for more.
Also seeing it in person might just help it have more of a wow effect.
it is such a shame that all people can do is complain, not just here, but on other UK based forums, it seems no matter what they do, there will always be people that will put the boot in.

I have seen and been in the car, it is stunning, end off, the rear lights suit the car, the XJ inspired interior is amazingly well put together and very very solid, not like teh latest C-Class that has moving panels, which should not really mover, getting in and out of teh back is easy, which is nigh on impossible in the CLA and C-Class, it does not loo like a Volvo, as has been mentioned elsewhere, it is a Jaguar, you can see that through out the car.

I have put my money where my mouth is and have bought one, deposit was paid back in March, and will be having a one on one plant tour shortly (brand new facility), how many can say they have bought one, i am not a designer or an engineer, so i feel that i have no realy right to make comment on the engineering or design side, shame others dont follow that train of thought, and if they want to slate or slag off the car fine, but why, have you seen it, these comments are just so boring.

I applaud JLR for putting so much money back into production in the UK when they could easily have gone elsewhere, they have their design and engineering base here, and emply many tens of thousands of people, they have world beating products and have wond numerous awards for each and every car they have released since TATA took over in 2008.

How many other companies out there have completely relaced or renewed the entire model ranges (defender expempt) or entered so many new niche markets in such a very short time, no one.

I wont alte the car or the company, because at the end of the day, Ford would have just screwed it into the ground, and TATA has let them have free reign, and due to that they ave succeeded and prospered, and i look forward to going to gaydon shortly for a play in the XE-S

The center stack just looks a bit basic. NOthing wrong with it but nothing special either.
