At the same time that the Jaguar XE was being revealed tot he public in a very long concert/play event, a spy photographer took pictures of a XE test prototype roaming around in the Rocky Mountains.

I wonder if that means that the Jaguar XE isn't actually completely ready for the market yet. Looks like it still is doing some testing. Making sure that everything is in order I guess.

For sure, they debuted the XE-S only which I took to mean that the Ingenium 4 cyls are not at all ready yet. Considering they are new engines it doesn't surprise me that testing is ongoing in the US as well, they have to meet American certification before sale...

The car is still a good 6~12 months off, so it stands to reason that there's still plenty of work to be done. That said, I don't understand why they'd still need camo on the car.

Yea the camo is a bit perplexing. I guess they didn't want their own reveal to be pre-empted by a spy shot of a test mule.
