It hasn't even been a day since the Jaguar XE was revealed in a bizarre 2.5 hour long dramatic and theatrical debut, but we already have speculation about what other model derivatives we could see from the XE. All these extra variants would go a long way in helping Jaguar to compete against its German rivals, who have been aggressively expanding their lineups in recent years.
There are talks about a few different model variants, which include a wagon, a 2-door coupe and a range-topping SVR model. Those variants could be seen on the market in 2015 or 2016.
Along with those models, there is also the confirmed XE SVR variant which will come out in 2016. This model will run on the F-Type's V8 5.0-liter which will produce 489 bhp. This model could be a contender to the Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG and the BMW M3/M4. That engine should get the XE SVR going from 0-100 km/h in around 4 seconds. The electronically limited top speed should be around 250 km/h.
