Fashion designer Stella McCartney has dressed a fleet of Jaguar XE cars in her Spring Superhero print as part of the FEEL XE ad campaign to mark the arrival of the new sedan in Paris.

Jaguar has joined forces with the British designer for the next phase of the Feel XE campaign, with the release saying “both Stella and Jaguar represent the best in British design and have a shared commitment to modernity, performance and innovation.”

“Jaguar is a British brand that’s full of heritage, charm and one that I’ve admired for years so it’s a pleasure to be finally working directly with them. It was interesting to adapt my playful Superhero print for the XE, adding a feeling of empowerment to its exhilarating design - I can’t wait to see it on the streets of Paris,” said the designer.

Stella McCartney dressed a fleet of Jaguar XE sedans draped in her Superhero print from her Spring 2015 collection. The vehicles will be taking to the streets of Paris on Monday September 29 to promote the all-new XE. Jaguar will announce full details of the entire XE range at the Paris Auto Show. Jaguar also said the next FEEL XE project will feature British actor Idris Elba.

This is cool as an ad campaign, but I'm not sure that I really get how these cars are going to be used. Are they just going to drive around the streets of Paris a bit to generate buzz, or are they actually going to be bought by people or some business? It's not like its a design that is very widely appealing, though it is interesting to look at in terms of it being artistic.

So its just a marketing gimmick, its not really for any purpose other than having them drive around Paris? It just seems like it would make more sense if they made a special edition XE that could actually be bought by a company as a fleet or something.

no company/fleet is going to buy a whack of special editions when the regular XE is just as good and costs less...

Its gimmicky if they actually produced these cars. Jaguar is straight up, yes this is marketing, this is who we're using...

Yeah there's no point having a special model for this, that would make no sense at all to do. In most cases, even a low trim version would work well for some of the things I see other car makers doing with this sort of thing.

For a good portion of it all, yes. Looking the way this one does, it already should turn some heads.

Seeing how they started putting this idea into action as of Sept 29th, i'm sure there has to be some coverage of what has been happening, letting us see what exactly they're doing.
