Review Of The XE

I was looking around for XE reviews and came across one by Car Magazine. The tested the entry-level diesel XE and there were a few concerns.

Your fingertips inevitably stroke Jaguar’s flimsy plastic paddles, an advert for Lego build quality (note you can upgrade to metal shifters). Although the physical dials are beautifully crisp and clear, there’s a mismatch between the three digital read-outs
The plastic can be upgraded to metal but I'm not sure if I want to see mismatching read outs while driving. Not even sure how something like this can be fixed.

What do they mean mismatched? Like they don't look uniform? I'm confused as to exactly what he means?
Although the physical dials are beautifully crisp and clear, there’s a mismatch between the three digital read-outs (8in touchscreen Retina-sharp to your left; think pixellated 1984 Outrun for the smaller panel between the speedo and tacho; optional £1000 head-up display in front of you glows orange, with a different font again).
I think he is referring to the display difference but it can also be the vehicle data that's mismatched.
