Sporty Saloon?

With the jumble of Jaguar chat going on now days this was bound to happen. Among the flutter about an XJ coupe and the XE saloon, sees XTomi wanted to heap on the confusion and produced a (insert superlative) render of a stretched out F-Type saloon. With the current rage being 4 door coupes, I suppose it was only a matter of time before someone got Jaguar into the game.

I mean sure it looks like it was drawn from the same vein as the Ghibli, Rapide, Panamera and even a courtesy nod to the CLs, but i personally don't see what kind of business case could be made for the sliver of a trance an F Type saloon would satisfy...

but what do i know...

but much prettier!
I don't think that it looks that bad. If it were to actually be built I'm sure the proportions would look a little bit more on point. Plenty of other automakers are making similarly proportioned vehicles though, so I don't think that it is crazy to think that there is a market for this type of vehicle.
I actually love how this looks, what jaguar needs to do is show off some design concept with this general idea behind it, see what the response it like and then take action
yea id pick it over a panamera

but i wouldnt pick it really.. in real life..
This car will NEVER make production, confirmation that there will be no more derivatives of the F-Type has already been make, so its just coupe and roadster, with varying trim levels from striped out Cup to V8 monster.

Yes I dont think it makes much sense however gorgeous the render is. I mean talk about instant canibalisation of both XJ and XF...
This might not happen but I would like to see more 4 doors from Jaguar, a Panamera competitor would be nice, i have a feeling they could build one of the better competitors to the panamera

I'm not sure which Jaguar you're familiar with, but the current one kind of actually you know sells mostly four doors ;) as of now there is only one 2 door coupe...

Yeah you must be right, i thought we were talking about the Jaguar animal with 4 doors.
What more could they do, a four door XJ - TICK, a four door XF - TICK, a four door XE - TICK, a four door XQ - TICK, a two door F-type, ok, there has to be the odd one out, the XF and XJ are both coupesque, in fact they were the main ones that started the trend, that other have followed.

the VW CC, MB CLS, BMW 6 Series GC, and so on, Jaguar does not have an endless pot of cash, and each new model does have to have a good business case attached, hence the XE and QX, after those, well, you will have to wait and see, but from what i have learned we have not seen the end of new niche products from Jaguar.

I actually like it and think it would make a good addition

IS XQ the definite name for CX17?

It would be, but I think right now it would only make sense if they can justify it as a high volume model, not sure if they can afford a unique vehicle that might not have a lot of volume.
I think AndyXE would be happy with any car on the drive as long as the leaper was on it :)

LOL yup, from what it seems like AndyXE would be.
