A material published by The Daily Mail features photographs of the old chap in the front of his home in London, taking delivery of a Ford Focus ST Estate and a Jaguar XE. This happened on Monday morning, roughly 12 hours after Top Gear Series 22 Episode 8 finished airing. Jezza doesn’t seem to mind the paparazzi taking their sweet time photographing a former Top Gear presenter wearing a blue T-shirt, jeans and gray slip-on loafers (a.k.a. moccasin shoes).
What is the man doing with a go-faster station wagon and the newest compact executive sedan from Jaguar? If you were asking us, he’s not going to film a segment for Top Gear or Clarkson, Hammond and May Live. Our guess is that Jezza will write his typical columns in The Sunday Times and The Sun, pointing the good points and bad points of both cars with typically entertaining Jeremy Clarkson wit and audacity.
Interesting.I don't remember specifically, but I remember reading a review that said that the XE was better than the 3-Series. Take that with a grain of salt because I don't remember that well, but I expect the XE to put up a very good fight.

They seem a little nit-picky, and even admits in the case of the suspension that it’s probably a good setup for the people who actually own the car. But when he takes out the XE and starts talking about just how well sorted out it is, it starts to become clearer just how important those issues were with the 3 Series. In the end the Jaguar is the winner of the two, and that’s an amazing feat from the company that not long ago produced the X-Type.
