Daily Nation has published a review after taking the XE on a test ride in Western Cape, South Africa.

The clinginess comes from the 245-section wheels and their endless grip, not the overbearing antics of a lover suffering from low self-esteem; though, to be honest, low self-esteem is what I will most probably contract before I get back home as I try to calculate how many more columns I will have to write before I can afford this car.

The review goes into more detail and the purchase of an XE automatically comes with a 5 year warranty!

This is only a review with him as the passenger, next week he'll be behind the wheel of this beauty.

Not sure if that is good prose, or a little much for a car review. I'd rather read this than something really boring though.

Good thing they highlighted that warranty term which to the value minded buyers will pull them in, just not sure by how much in comparison to the others.

The warranty does sweeten the pot quite a bit. 5 years is a long time to own any car and a lot can go wrong within those years.

And the 5 years is better than most other companies. I think that only Hyundai and Kia have a long warranty like that.

One thing i've always wondered if it'll backfire with it tapping into profits too much with warranty work being done more than the average car maker.

Would that not be an indication of the XE's craftsmanship? If they are wiling to insure it for 5 years and hope to make a profit then I assume that the Jagaur XE is made to last without too many problems.

Pretty sure Jaguar has been ranking very well in quality surveys recently. That means owners are reporting fewer problems per 100 vehicles than most other brands.

Notice how the only brands offering 5 year warranties are right close to the top of the list.

93 problems per vehicle still seems a bit high to me but it does look better compared tot he companies in the bottom half of the graph.

Having one problem, which could be something extremely minor, is not that bad. And You aren't guaranteed one problem. Some people get none. Also, I bet that a lot of the time one vehicle has multiple problems, instead of each car having one.
