I digged out 100 serials from topix focused on a dedicated model and this is what I got:

The car monitored was the 2L diesel 180hp, automatic

Production is monday to friday, no vin numbers are dated on saturdays meaning they have no hurry to fill orders, pace is fine

Out of 100 serials, 23 were the monitored car. Cars were built in a 3 weeks timeframe

Such models are not built every day, some days zero are built, some others up to 3

Dealer code, it seems that for each country they go to a single dealer code, maybe a distributor

Here is the car allocation per country i found
Italy 7
Spain 5
France 4
Germany 3
Belgium 3
Austria 1

At first I thought, where are the Dutch? But then I realized it's only the 18ps diesels. I guess that in The Netherlands more than 80% will choose the 163ps Diesel.

Can you figure out how many cars were produced for The Netherlands?

Great Job!

I have to check another 100 serials at least, good to know that following samples form other hundreds I saw the same build dates meaning that it is possible that up to 10/12 180hp automatic diesels are built per week.

to check countries I had to open the files one by one, you can not make a dedicated nation query

I think that's not true... only 10 to 12 180ps diesels per week? They have to build more than 1500 XE's per week (and sell them) to fulfill their target to double the annual sales :)

I read a Jaguar's Italy CEO interview stating in Italy 95 XE have been ordered at the time of the production start.
I assume that in Western Europe probably the order are now in the around of 7-800s and production just started, sharing the same Land Rover facility, so it is possible that numbers are very low at this stage.
If they were able to build 1500 per week since day 1 you probably should be able to drive your car by next week....
Hmm, Jaguar Netherlands told that sales had reached 100 cars begin April. Maybe you're right... this means that the first months (or all of 2015) we'll be special on the roads :)
Made another hundreds run on the same observed model
The build date are still in the same calendar range of the previous hundred, meaning that are keeping up with the back orders :)

It is interesting to observe that in a 3 weeks range I found 21 in the first, 17 in the second and only 3 the past week

Italy is the first in line with 12 cars allocated Austria had 3 and Netherlands 0

Marc, I was not able to find your number, do not know the reason because calculation is fine in showing the other numbers.....
You're a busy guy! Haha

Don't know why you can't find a car for the netherlands, I can see mine a definitely built.
But you're ony looking for then 180ps diesel, right? I guess they sell bad over here. All 163ps versions.

Day off today for family business in the morning and an afternoon free for fooling around.... :D

Yes, I'm looking only at the 2L diesel 180hp automatic, LHD. No brits, no manual, no 163hp;)

Ah, imagine the extra time you will have AFTER your XE has arrived :)

I guess that the most popular XE in the Netherlands will be the 163ps Manual. The Dutch tax systems is ridiculous, an XE can be between 5.000 and 20.000 (XE-S) more expensive than in Germany and Belgium (our direct neighbours).
I don't think they've begun US spec production. I couldn't find anything relevant in TOPIX, but I may also have no clue what I'm doing...
