Water Leak - 2017 XE Premium 35t AWD

Hi all,

I was wondering if anyone else has had a water leak filling up the backseat foot well behind the drive?

I had it fixed twice and both times it was soaked after rain.

It's back at the dealer and they are going to work with Jaguar USA to replace the car.

Apparently there was a recall for this but I was never notified. Anyway, hopefully it's replaced. Anyone else run into this with their XE?

Thanks
Jeff

Water damage to a vehicle usually isn't reversible. Once its found its way inside your vehicle, moisture and condensation can spread throughout all your components. I don't think from the picture you posted that its even worth trying to rip out and redo the interior, I think you're better off coming to some sort of settlement for a new car. Seeing as you're still experiencing the same problems even after the "fix" you may want to consider another dealer altogether.

I'd say the OP photo is exactly commensurate with my water situation, twice now (initial, then 'dealer repair', now it is again happening). It is as I mentioned 100% absolutely categorically not due to 'driving' the car as it recurred after having not been driven in any wet conditions.

I'm calling tomorrow to schedule appt. A bit lost as I've never been in similar situation and have no idea what to ask for or expect or not expect etc.

3 months ago I've also met with such a problem. After every rainy day in my cars on the floor, the carpet was wet. How did you solve your problem?
They actually replaced the rugs and had it for 5 days the first time.
They actually replaced the rugs and had it for 5 days the first time. The second time they dried and a few other things to prevent corrosion. The third time I said don't bother. I want a new car at this point and they have started the process with Jaguar USA to get approvals to swap the car out. I called Jag also when I saw the water again the third time and they also said they will open a case to replace it with the dealer. So far seems like they are going to give me a new one altogether. I brought the car to them Friday and they have had it since then. They gave me a RR Evoque in the meantime. Which came in handy since it snowed like crazy the next day lol
I have had the same problem with my XE in Australia have had the entire interior removed 3 times and it still leaks the dealer has had it now for 2 weeks and is trying to tell me that the water is coming from the air conditioner! Hard to believe when it fills up with water over night sitting on the drive!
If a car leaks water, it may be that the drain hole on the sunroof of the car is blocked. Because the drain hole on the sunroof of the car can easily collect dust and other substances, once it is blocked, rainwater cannot be drained out when it rains, it is easy for the car to leak water.
