Wiper scratching the hood

I bought my 2017 Jaguar XE in Nov 2016 and since then i had lot of issues from Audio System to Side Mirror. But the wiper scratching the inside of the hood pissed me off to the core which has left a big gash on both the wiper and inside of the hood. I have uploaded a video on youtube. I'm not able to upload or share the link here because currently I have less than 2 posts.

The title of the video on youtube is Jaguar 2017 XE Wiper scratching the Hood

Anyone has the same issue? is it a one off situation?

Regards

Yes, I have an appointment next Tuesday. On the phone they said there has been no such recall.

Some other issues with the car

1. Left speaker on the driver side makes crackling noise
2. Center console hangs and reboot sometimes when i start the car
3. Sunroof shade doesn't work sometimes
4. Right side window after few days doesn't comes back to the original position.
One interesting thing that i noticed on the jaguar assistance app was the car was repaired in Sept 2016 by the dealer, two months before i bought the car.

Now i'm really skeptical about my car.

Does it indicate what the repairs exactly were?

Thanks everyone for your valuable input. I got back my car today and what i found out about the wiper just blew my mind.

The left wiper of my car was from Jaguar F-Pace. I still can't believe how the car made it to the market with a wiper from a different car. This is seriously beyond pathetic.

Below is a pic from the service record. What should I do now? How do i escalate it further?

That is seriously annoying as heck and I don't even know how that happens :|

To be honest though, considering they took care of the damages and replaced the part, I'm not too sure they'll really be in for giving you anything else
"What should I do now? How do i escalate it further?"

Why escalate it further? What are you trying to achieve? Were they nice to you, did they give you a big hug? They took full responsibility and fixed your car.

Maybe you can beat them up and get a free T-Shirt or a Hat but really I'd move on. The dealer certainly fulfilled their obligation..

Don't be that customer that makes the service advisors cringe when you walk in..

It doesn't say what was done. If the car was there awhile it could be as simple as replacing a battery, or doing a required software update.

Instead of asking here, where no one is really going to know why not ask the dealer, Im sure they'll tell you.

Thanks for the input. Indeed the dealer was nice to me and fixed it.

But don't you think it is a bigger issue when the Dealer said it happened in the assembly line? If it can happen to one car in the assembly line don't you think it can happen to other cars as well? Or the dealer is lying?

How can you accept the fact that a car company like Jaguar installs a wiper from a different model in the assembly line?

And I don't understand why are you getting so worked up......you don't have to be rude to make a point. Once again thanks for your valuable input.

Sorry to hear this stuff. I mean, this is really unprofessional. I hope that they will be able to do action towards this matter because this incident should not be repeated for it's not a right thing
In any assembly activity there will be occasional mistakes. You had the misfortune to getting one of the mistakes, and that's a shame, but the dealer seems to have done all they can to make things right with you, and I don't see anything else that they can do. If it were me I would thank the dealer for what they did to help and ask them about the repairs made before you bought the car. Be nice, but be professional and see what happens.
