Jaguar has continued it evil villain themed ad campaign with a series of commercials that feature X-Men First Class actor Nick Hoult (he plays Dr. Hank McCoy / Beast.) The exciting part of this new ad campaign is that it includes the new Jaguar XE sedan. Also included is the F-Type.

“In casting Hoult, a young, good-looking and charismatic actor with just the right amount of eccentric British charm, we found our boy genius,” Matt Page, the creative director of commercial agency Spark44 shared. “He plays the role of the Villain’s behind-the-scenes technology wiz, providing his bosses with the right equipment for their mission, Jaguar cars, and in doing so, he wittily describes the innovation and technology that makes our cars feel so alive.”
It's a great ad campaign IMO, but Jaguar was sad to learn that it recently was eclipsed in UK sales by Romanian budget brand Dacia. I'm not so sure that is due to marketing though. I think it has more to do with the amount of money that people have to spend on things.

Check out the commercials below.

Now that is what i believe to be marketing done very well.

Next up they should do a James Bond themed series....especially with the F-Type Coupe, which to me seems like a great vehicle as a Bond car.

Well the whole point of the ad campaign is to focus on the villains instead of Bond. So it would be a James Bond villain car, not a Bond car. Maybe they can show the villain defeating a James Bond-like character instead. Could be something interesting if done right.

It would be awesome if Jaguar can get their vehicles in a movie series sort of like how GM has their vehicles in transformers.

If they did a hero series then the brand could say something like "For those who want to save/take over the world."

I think its a good idea. Everything is about the good guys but its fun to be bad. And the James Bond bad guys were always really cool. They have the most awesome lairs.
