XE at LA Auto Show?

Does anyone know if the XE is going to make an appearance at the upcoming Los Angeles auto show? Now that it's out there in the wild, so to speak, it would make sense to show it off wherever and whenever they can but there's no mention of the XE under North America premieres.

Perhaps they're waiting until closer to the US release date?

Yea it won't be debuting for a while so they may not even be bringing it. Isn't not getting to the US until 2016?
Right, mid-2016 is the last arrival date that I heard. Still, this is one of the big auto shows of the year and you'd think they'd want a presence here if for nothing else than to get the name back in the news and to let Americans know that an alternative to the Germans is coming soon. There are probably more than a few people like me who decided to hold off on getting another BMW/Audi until we could check out the XE.
At the very least they should be teasing it but i also wouldn't be too surprised if the shows pass and we see nothing.
Wouldn't it make more sense to bring it to the 2015 LA Auto Show with the release date being in 2016? Why bring a car to the show that people have no chance of ordering for another full year?

no because then you're leaving little leeway for hype to build.

NAIAS 2015 will be its NA debut...
Another thing to note too is the NAIAS show is one of the biggest in America and the ultimate show for big debut's, for tapping into the american market, i don't think there could be a better show. I see LA as a runner up, still a big deal but not as much as NAIAS.
They could bring it but I don't think its 100%. There are plenty of other ways to build hype and it is hard to keep hype built up for that long. It might be better to wait a little just so that people are still interested when it finally does get close to the NA release date. Time will tell I suppose. I wonder if it is a simple choice for them, or if there is a substantial cost or limited space or something that might be a restriction.
That is very true, targeting those big shows are great, but I have also seen car makers have their own stand alone event away from an autoshow which seems to work just as well especially when it's a vehicle as highly anticipated as the XE is.
there's also the new york show, don't forget that one.
